Theme: To make a hat or headpiece out of preloved or discarded materials. Thinking outside the capsule I chose to design with discarded flyscreen wire & recycled unwanted Nespresso Coffee aluminium pods.To start my design I had to shuck all used coffee pods free from unwanted coffee leaving just the pod, then wash & start to design pattern, cut then pleat. The 1920's brim is discarded flyscreen wire & including wire edge for support with designer pods sewn one by one under flyscreen also adding crystals to each pod on the top. Three encapsulated circles added to design. Blocking net is used for the base with overlay of flyscreen wire & one by one sewn pods to base.
