Embrace the Ekka Magic - Where Brisbane Blooms with Colorful Delights! In the enchanting city of Brisbane, Ekka Time signifies a vibrant celebration of the fair's exuberance and the showcase of Queensland's finest offerings. The Ekka is a haven for milliners, where they get to showcase their finest creations. Following my role in evaluating millinery entries for the recent Redcliffe Show Society I was inspired by this showcase, and I decided to present my own creation and enrolled in the Millinery Australia Masterclass competition sponsored by the Millinery Australia.
My design was called “Foxglove” and hand rolled from Pure Swiss Cotton Organdie, a fabric of utmost rarity in 2023 which exudes a vintage charm. Its distinctiveness radiates intrinsically, harmonizing effortlessly with the artisanal touch of the milliner's hands.
The announcement unveiled my triumph in both the “Millinery Australia Masterclass” and the esteemed accolade of “Best Exhibit in Millinery”. Solely one submission emerges victorious!
